I have a Hayward Blue Essence Salt Cell. There is no ""T"" designation on it, but it states its for pools up to 20,000 gallons. Will this T9 cell be a compatible replacement? I have verified that my controller supports T3, T5, T9, & T15. CircuPool® CIR-GEN9 Aftermarket Replacement Cell fits Hayward® AquaRite® 25,000 Gal. Models Salt Cells

If your controller has the T-9 cell type setting, then that would work. Think about taking the opportunity to maximize your capacity - a more powerful cell works less hard to do the same job, lasts longer, and can be turned up higher to deal with any pool problems that might come up.
