Any notion of how long a salt cell will last ignores the range of factors that influence the outcome. How large is the pool? What is the pool environment like - indoor, outdoor, hot climate, cool climate, length of pool season, bather load, water chemistry management, etc.? In particular, keeping the pool's water chemistry consistently within a narrow range around the target levels, or failing to do so, can seriously impact the life of a salt cell.
