I believe you are referring to a pool timer when you mention "Wired into your pool". No, the chlorinators do not need to be wired into the pool timer because they have a flow switch. When the pump turns off the flow switch detects this and the chlorinator goes into stanby until it gets flow again from the pump. Most people connect the chlorinator to constant power, but you can still wire into the timer if you choose to. If you do not feel comfortable enough to connect it to power on your own please contact an electrician, but we do not require and electrician to install it for warranty if it is a CircuPool product. If you have purchased a chlorinator other than CircuPool please check the manual for things that would void the warranty.
