If you currently have a 3HP Pentair IntelliFlo 011018, one option you might consider is the CircuPool SmartFlo adaptive flow pump. This model can replace the 011018 without requiring replumbing. Best of all, it has flow control (allows you to set the actual gallons-per-minute, GPM) and continually adjusts its operation to maintain the flow rate(s) you program. This is a highly desirable feature in contrast to conventional variable speed pumps, which just get arbitrary motor speeds (RPM) set. The SmartFlo also comes ready to connect to Wi-Fi for app control.
