That's a great question without a simple answer. Robotic pool cleaners can get stuck on steps for a variety of reasons, such as:
So generally speaking, if its something about the steps themselves then the issue might still apply for various cleaner alternatives. But if the issue has to do with design or navigation issues, Beatbot cleaners are quite high-end with excellent navigation capability and would likely excel in comparison to many other options.
- The shape / size of the steps causing the center of the cleaner to catch on it
- The material of the steps causing the cleaner to loose traction
- Unbalanced design or cleaner being too bouyant in the front
- Cable interference tugging the cleaner backwards when it tries to traverse the steps
- The cleaner's navigation logic isn't able to handle the steps
