You didn't specify which system you were asking about, but the majority of saltwater chlorinators we sell are able to work on either voltage. Some models are voltage sensing and adjust automatically while others require a simple, one-time, manual adjustment. There is no advantage to using either voltage, so you are good to use whichever is available at your equipment pad.
