If by "control panel" you mean your power supply box on the wall, the APX PERFORMANCE P20 is not an independent, self-contained unit. It’s a replacement salt cell intended to run off your existing Pentair IntelliChlor power center; you’ll still need a functioning power center to power it.
If you mean an automation system controller, the P20 has onboard controls for adjusting output and reading the salinity level, and it does not provide RS-485/data integration with automation systems.
Standard replacement is designed to be plug-and-play—swap the IC20 cell, reconnect to the power center, and the P20’s power cord is included
