Yes the CPSC 24 will operate with the CircuPool RJ20 classic models, though it will not have nearly as long as a lifespan.
If you would like the CircuPool next generation is something to considered.
The CircuPool RJ30N (also marketed as the RJ-30 PLUS) is one of CircuPool's most popular residential salt chlorine generators. It is designed for homeowners who want a reliable, long-life salt system with minimal maintenance.
Overview
- Model: RJ30N (RJ-30 PLUS)
- Recommended pool size: Up to 30,000 gallons (although many professionals recommend it for pools closer to 20,000–25,000 gallons in hot climates for additional chlorine production margin).
- Chlorine output: 1.5 pounds of chlorine per day.
- Warranty: 7-year limited warranty.
- Part Number: RJ30N-3300-7A.
Main Features
- Heavy-duty titanium electrolytic cell with ruthenium/iridium coating for long service life.
- Reverse polarity self-cleaning to reduce calcium scale buildup.
- Digital controller with an OLED display and touch keypad.
- Built-in salt level monitoring.
- Super Chlorinate (Boost) mode for heavy bather loads or algae recovery.
- Winter mode for cold-water operation.
- Clear cell housing so you can visually confirm chlorine generation.
Operating Specifications
- Ideal salt level: 3,500 ppm
- Operating range: 3,000–4,500 ppm
- Cell cable: 14 feet
- Power cord: 4.5 feet
- Compatible with 120V or 240V installation (depending on configuration).
Typical Performance
For a properly balanced pool:
- 10,000-gallon pool: usually runs at a relatively low output percentage.
- 15,000–20,000 gallons: excellent fit for most climates.
- 25,000–30,000 gallons: works well but may require longer pump run times or higher output during peak summer. Many pool professionals recommend sizing one model larger than the pool's actual volume to reduce cell wear and provide extra chlorine capacity.
You can also instal a CircuPool VIK Kit making it easy to convert an existing RJ Classic installation to a newer CircuPool system without cutting out all of the existing plumbing.
Here's how it works:
- You remove the old RJ Classic clear cell housing.
- You leave the existing black RJ Classic barrel unions in place.
- The kit includes special RJ Classic adapter fittings ("Pipe Savers") that glue inside those existing unions.
- You then install the new RJ+, RJN, or 3rd Generation RJ salt cell and flow switch using the vertical manifold.
