If cemented, how can cells be cleaned. In the quick installation, there is no provision for threads on elbows

If you use this kit, you are correct that you glue it to your plumbing. Then just like if you did not use this kit, the salt cell's threaded unions allow you to take it on and off. There is no loss of this functionality.
