Yes, the SJ15 is compatible with inground pools. It doesn't utilize a flow switch, it is meant to be wired in tandem with the pump. If your pool is bigger than about 10,000 gallons or if you use a variable speed pump, you might prefer the EDGE-15 or EDGE-25 models.
