The nominal length of the salt cell is 14 inches. This will let you determine if and how the cell can plumb in. Don't forget, you also need to have room for the Tee fitting that takes the flow switch. If you are converting from a Hayward, or Hayward-style, system, then everything will fit right into place with no modification.
