The minimum flow rate for most systems is very low, in the 20-30gpm range. The system is designed to be adjustable no matter how many hours a day you run it (you can run it on a higher output for shorter run times, or lower output for longer run times). The run time is really dependent on your circulation pump ability to move enough water through your pool's filter each day.
