I currently have an eco-smart pool system that uses a cartridge with copper electrodes for algae control and titanium electrodes for bacteria control. The pool has dissolved copper at a rate of 3-5ppm in it. Additionally the chemistry of the water requires 250-400 ppm calcium hardness. If I want to convert will Ihave to do something about the water chemistry?

The salt chlorinator just needs about 3,000 parts per million salt dissolved in the water in order to operate, everything else is really apples and oranges. Once you add the salt and install the system, you'll be up and running., You'll be up and running.
