This can work with inground/aboveground pools, and can work with rigid pvc pipe, flex pvc, or hoses that clamp. If you use, hoses that clamp, you'll have to get some off-the-shelf adapter from the plumbing supply store that let you clamp on one side and let you do a slip pvc fitting that you can glue to on the other side. The system comes with pvc slip fittings for both 2"" and 1.5"" that accept male pvc pipe.
