So I just got done cleaning my filter, remove the cell and cleaned it as well and added salt to the pool. I feel I put too much in because I’m getting a high salinity alarm. Do I need to drain water out of the pool and put untreated, water back into lower the salinity or will it still chlorinate and just have a high salt contact.

First, allow your pump at least 24 hours to circulate the water after adding salt, as there can be pockets of higher or lower salinity. If it has been at least a day, and the salinity level has stabilized and the system has a flashing high salt light and the salinity is under 4500 ppm, you can opt to allow the level to go down over time with rain, as the system is still generating. If the light is solid and the level is over 4500ppm, it has stopped generating and you need to lower the salinity. A target salinity level is about 3500 ppm.
