The APX PERFORMANCE E-CHLOR has a 10,000 hour lifespan salt cell, similar to many premium saltwater chlorinators. Consequently, the life of the cell should be comparable to competing chlorinators. The life you obtain from the cell may vary considerably based on the degree to which the system is sized appropriately for your pool, your pool usage, water chemistry management, and more. The unit is designed to connect to 2"" PVC, but can be used on 1.5"" pipe with the use of commonly-available reducer bushings.
