Yes, as a convenience it alerts you when (based on how many hours of use you have put on it) you are in the later portions of its lifespan, so you can already be prepared with a replacement cell. However, please continue to use your system until other errors occur and the cell is no longer able to generate chlorine. You should NOT replace the cell just because the "cell life low" indicator comes on.
