A pump rated for 5,460 GPH (90 GPM) is well within normal pool system circulation parameters, but please note if that is the maximum the pump is listed for you are likely not ending up with much actual flow. For salt chlorinators what is typically much more of a consideration is the low end of the flow rate (if you have a variable speed pool pump), since salt chlorinators will stop generating if there is not enough water flowing. For most models this may occur in the 20-30 GPM range, and would often produce a "no flow" or other warning light.
