I am growing weary of throwing money at Hayward Products. We are needing to replace a Aquatrol-RJ for a hard sided 24' Dia. above ground pool. Will the Universal40 work for us and our pool? Will we need to re-configure as current salt cell is mounted at return jet (RJ) on side of pool? We are pretty good DIYers and moderately proficient at plumbing and electrical. what controls the pump? Is the pump cycled by the same customer supplied timer that energizes the sanitizer? Or does the sanitizer control the pump during the sanitizer cycle, reducing run time on the pump? View answer
