I see that the ic20 aftermarket replacement does more. My only worry is that it will run constantly. does the flow switch stop the salt generation when the pump is off? If so, I see no reason for the communication cable anyway. Is there any reason not to replace pentair with aftermarket? View answer

what is shelf life, just replace mine at $899, will this be good as new in 3 years+, things keep going up, use to buy these (original) for $499, think about going generic like this one View answer

I have a Pentair Ichlor IC 30. I asume this unit will work with the same Pentair power center? Just different dimensions for the piping install? View answer

When you say, "it does not communicate with external controllers", to operate it, you manually push the buttons correct? I cannot use the Pentair Easytouch remote to operate it. View answer
