If I connect this to an external timer, will this start self priming when power is connected? Also can you set the default speed it will then lower itself too automatically? It needs to retain this setting since external timer will disconnect power. View answer

I had the notion that a pool salt water chlorine generator would actually deplete dissolved salt when creating free chlorine and it counterpart ion HClO3) Hypochlorus acid . Is the salt (NaCl) actually consumed without returning to it prior state as salt? Since temperature might play a part in chlorine adn/or salt consumption, what is the range of expected salt consumption per 1000 gallons or pool capacity in a hot climate like Palm Springs (summer vs winter). 3200 ppm of salt is supposed to be the ideal concentration, to maintain the salt pool, right? Online, no one seems to address the salt consumption rate issue in Q and A's View answer

I just bought a CircuPool SmartFlo VS 1.5. How long should it take to prime? I have filled basket up and turned pump on and opened pressure valve on filter. In videos it seems like it only takes a few seconds for water to start coming out of pressure valve on filter. I have left my pump on for 3-4 min and never get water. Shut off pump cause afraid of hurting something. Should I leave on longer? View answer
