I take it this unit (Umiversal 40) will replace a Jandy and be more than efficient on a 30,000 gallon pool or would I be better off choosing the upgraded R30 to R45? I have a Breeze Slat Water Chlorinator.. It was put in about 4 years ago.. The cell kept getting gunked up with a white substanvce and the pool guy said he was cleaning it off every two weeks..doubtful - as since I came back for good it has not happened again..but now, the white cloudy substance (Chlorine) is not coming into the cell although the cell is still vibrating.. Is there a problem solving chart for this? Also, if I need to buy a new cell how do I knwo which one..Thank you for any help Mary View answer

My pipe size is 1.5 inch. I gather this system is 2” and I wish to install this unit in place of an in-line Hayward chlorination. Each hook up is screen fittings wit a threaded union. I want to make it easy and likely I will need the reducer from 2” to 1.5”. Any suggestions? View answer
