i am replacing a ic30 pentair with ic60 i want to make the purchase very soon but i will not install it till summer time when does the warranty start also i realize i have to cut the pipes to install it because it is larger does the unit come with the other half of the unions and o rings to do the install thank you View answer

I am considering going salt. I have a pentair system. My pool is just under 20k gals. Would the salt generator for a 60k gal pool be overkill? As my pool seems to grow algae easier and often. I get my pool water checked 2-3 times a week. Almost always I’m low on chlorine. I typically go through 6 bags of shock per week and 5 gals of liquid shock along with chlorine tablets. And my water is very seldom clear. ALL my numbers/levels are within range.. I havnt seen the bottom of my pool in a couple months. My hope is that a salt generator would get things better. I have RJ 20 system (6 years old},cell is over 3 years old.I did have low salt warning with correct salt level in pool, chlorine level was good.Now I have "no water flow" warning , Water flow is normal.chlorine production lower My question, do I have problem with cell? or problem with control unit? I see that the ic20 aftermarket replacement does more. My only worry is that it will run constantly. does the flow switch stop the salt generation when the pump is off? If so, I see no reason for the communication cable anyway. Is there any reason not to replace pentair with aftermarket? View answer

Only 2 plates that are connected to each other on my SGS Breeze 540 show calcium build-up and need to be manually cleaned frequently as if they no longer self-clean. The other 3 plates that are connected to each other appear non-functional because I'm not generating enough chlorine with only 40% functionality. Is this a sign of a bad cell, or is it a controller issue? View answer

I currently have a Hayward Aqua plus system 10,000 gallon pool- 10 years old with a t5 cell. I'm getting a low salt reading but salt test strips show a good reading. I believe I have 2 setting options t5 or t3. Can I assume that this would work? I don't seem to find t5 cells that indicate that they will work with Aqua Plus system View answer
