Do the arrows on the cell indicate water flow direction? I plan to install my cell vertically, but the wires would have to be at the bottom if this is water flow direction, which could get rain/etc in the wire holes? View answer

I have a Jandy AquaLink RS system but dont know how loosing the "RS-485 or data connection" will affect me? The AquaLink RS has an indoor control panel program timer to automatically start/stop the equipment - will this salt cell still start/stop on that timer? View answer

How does the Edge control Chlorine output? I have heard other models cycle on and off but I am monitoring the amp's used on my Edge40 and it seems to draw more power if I increase the amount. Does it cycle or just change the cell output? View answer

I have a new intex 18x54 pool I’m installing. I bought the one that has the upgraded frame to resist corrosion. I’m only trying to get a couple years out of it to decide if we want to keep and maintain a real pool. Want a salt system but can’t find the intex brand. I am considering going salt. I have a pentair system. My pool is just under 20k gals. Would the salt generator for a 60k gal pool be overkill? As my pool seems to grow algae easier and often. I get my pool water checked 2-3 times a week. Almost always I’m low on chlorine. I typically go through 6 bags of shock per week and 5 gals of liquid shock along with chlorine tablets. And my water is very seldom clear. ALL my numbers/levels are within range.. I havnt seen the bottom of my pool in a couple months. My hope is that a salt generator would get things better. Only 2 plates that are connected to each other on my SGS Breeze 540 show calcium build-up and need to be manually cleaned frequently as if they no longer self-clean. The other 3 plates that are connected to each other appear non-functional because I'm not generating enough chlorine with only 40% functionality. Is this a sign of a bad cell, or is it a controller issue? View answer
