I purchased a Circupool UL40 Salt generator to replace an old Hayward. I guess I never noticed it before but the control unit is very warm if not hot to the touch. I do not smell burning wires and no breakers or fuses have been tripped. Unit is wired directly into a pool timer so it runs only 9 hours a day. Digital display says everything is within proper operating parameters. Can anyone tell me if the heat issue is normal? View answer

I have had this unit for just over 4 months. The percent generating is no longer working. For the last week the chlorine level in the pool has been very high. I have been bringing the generation down from the normal 40% to 30%, 20% and finaly 10%. The cell generate light never turns off, no matter when I look at it, it is on, unless I go to 0%. How do I get warranty help with this? View answer

Suppose that the average air temperature in winter is 56 F and the pool sits at 56 F. On the smallest unit, how much power (or current at 208 V) would be required to raise a 20,000 pool to 75F? With solar blanks on the surface, how much power would be needed then to maintain it at 75 F? Then in the summer, the average temperature is 78 F but we want it to be 82 F. Ordered and received my CircuPool TJ Series "Typhoon" Pre-Filter that came with an inline bypass (Part Number: TJ-BYPASS) for use with DE. How is this to be installed? There were no instructions whatsoever. It appears multiple additional fittings are required to complete installation (based on the photo of the TJ-BYPASS-KIT model). Should I have ordered the TJ-PASS-KIT? Very confused and frustrated that this is delaying the opening of my pool as I expected to be able to immediately install the pre-filter upon receipt. I have the CircuPool Universal25 system and it's getting pretty old. The xxxx to control the chlorine production does not stay on the number it is set at and it's nearly impossible to select a number as it is too sensitive to movement.
